Board of Directors

The Little Oaks Academy Board of Directors is made up of a team of dedicated parents who share a common goal in maintaining a high quality early learning environment for families in the Knoxville area. They aim to support the administration, teachers, and families of the Little Oaks community. The LOA board can be reached at board@littleoaksacademy.org.

LOA’s Board of Directors currently meets monthly on the 3rd Monday of the month from 7:00pm-8:30pm via Zoom. Meetings are open to the public; please reach out to the email above if interested.

FAQs about Board Membership:

The Board of Directors broadly serves three responsibilities:

  1. To ensure the fulfillment of the nonprofit’s mission.

  2. To establish and maintain general policy for how the mission is executed.

  3. To ensure the organization has the financial resources to do so.

Time commitment: LOA’s Board of Directors currently meets monthly on the 3rd Monday of the month from 7:00pm-8:30pm via Zoom. It is expected that Board Members will attend at least 80 percent of board meetings.

Term Lengths and Limits: Board members serve three year terms. There are no limits on the number of terms.
